Hello...
This week was a rather busy one :) Watched west side story on wed... it's way better than the movie (which is one of the most boring movie musicals ever) but is only average by musical standards i think... both leads had good voices but i guess i've just never really liked west side story.. and i still think maria should have died at the end... i mean west side story is so clearly a modern cut and paste of romeo and juliet... so how can you express the depth and extent of their love without having both lovers die? (this does not at all mean i approve of people killing themselves over relationships in real life.. cos i don't!) but i think it was a rather drab ending.. not a happy one cos they don't end up together.. but at the same time not as tragic and moving as r&j is. still..i'm glad i went.. the nice songs were worth it :)
We finally got round to booking tickets from london.. yay...so i'll be there from the 8th to the 15th next month.. rushing back for sov... my family kept telling me to skip the concert and extend our visit there.. but i insisted on coming back cos i don't want to wear that $160 gown just once. BLEAH. yes, im a cheapo. haha.and of course i wanna watch the concert seeing that i doubt i'll be here for the next 3 sov's..
